We went from uncertainty to feeling genuinely confident about our family’s future.

My name is Alex. I have been a client of Betterment Wealth for around eight or nine years, and I am being looked after by Richard Fern.

I wasn’t sure how best to organise my savings and investments. I had inherited some money from some family members who had sadly passed away, and I wanted to have the best financial advice on how to make the most of that money, both now and in the future, for my own retirement and also for my family.

The first three traits that come into my head when I think about Richard are probably friendly, confident, and calm.

One of the best things about working with Richard is definitely the ability to pick up the phone or send an email and get that reassurance when you’re actually needing it there and then, not having to wait weeks for an email response. It’s being able to get immediate reassurance and clarity if you’re having a bit of a wobble about anything with your finances.

I suppose the best piece of advice that Richard has given us as a family is not to overly worry about the future in terms of finances. It’s to have a think about what you want for the future, be honest with him about what you want, and have the confidence that together, you’ll be able to plan and make those things happen, but not to overly worry about them.
